Ok, that’s it, I’ve heard enough of this negative commentary about the real estate market “bottoming out” and “property values in free fall.” Seriously, the world as we know it is NOT coming to an end and just because there have been a couple foreclosures in Northcrest doesn’t mean the home values have gone to sh*t!! OK!?!?

So listen up, I’m going to break this down for each and every person who is thinking about selling OR BUYING in Northcrest. Let’s look at the facts, the numbers and the actual VALUES of recent sales in 2010. Let’s explore what each property has sold for and

  2. Enjoy a bit of the old with the new. Keep those walnut cabinets and wall tile with historic aqua and pink. Replace the bad, keep the good. Historians do not like all new-as these homes will be on the registry in a few years. Gran counter tops do not jive with C. contemporary. I replaced my counter tops with the same-LAMINATE-and yes, it looks great! I also refinished my walnut cabinets because new modern is cheap-bad quality! New windows, floors and appliances are also necessary for safety, but shamefully a lot of sellers over do it. There is no point in buying an old home only to remove all good history in it.
