Home is where the HEART is

Jon & Kevin had us over for tamales the other night, what a treat!! this October will mark the year anniversary of their home purchase! We met when they were scoping out Northcrest and fell in love with a spectacular Mid-Century Modern renovation that was already under contract! Sadly, they put an offer in on another house in hopes of tweaking it and making it similar to the one they loved. I am a strong believer that things happen for a reason… The offer on their dream home fell through and when I called them to tell them the good news they were elated! A year later they have decked out their Mid-Century Modern replacing the carpet downstairs with travertine, adding museum quality lighting to showcase all of their folk art and topping each room off with DWR (design within reach) furniture.

Wallpaper CRAZY!!

January 13th, 2010
by vanessa

Have you ever ripped down wallpaper before?

The house I grew up in had every flat surface wallpapered. From the ceilings to the floors this place was covered in wallpaper… and it wasn’t the pretty floral kind, oh no, it was a medley of farm animals, especially cows. I think the original owners woke up one afternoon (after a heavy night of partying) and said
